Reading
Books: on balance, I'm for them. These are most of the ones I've read since 2007 or so. The star ratings correspond more closely to "how worth my time this felt" than "how good this is."

Shambhala Guide to Traditional Chinese Medicine
Daniel Reid
The value of Chinese and various other non-Western medical traditions shines through despite the author's bizarre and repeated assertions that AIDS is caused by power lines. Also, a bit dated in its insistence on pitting Eastern and Western medicine against one another in some sort of grudge match. Ho hum. Those reservations aside, Reid does a good job covering a huge amount of material briskly - this is a decent entry point into the world of holistic medicine.
